Traditional Ibizan life in a 300-year-old house
Stepping through the doors of this farmhouse, with over three centuries of history, will transport you to the archaic, self-sufficient Ibiza of old, a world whose ancestral wisdom survived into the 20th century virtually unchanged. Known as Can Ros and declared a Site of Cultural Interest, it houses the main headquarters of the Ibiza Ethnographic Museum, whose permanent exhibition features a significant collection of clothing, jewellery, household items, work tools, musical instruments, weapons and other objects.
A glimpse into the island’s past customs and traditions, complemented by an excellent lesson in typical Ibizan architecture, as at Can Ros you can discover its characteristic features, including the porxo, the kitchen, the wine cellar, the oil mill, the well, the cistern and, on the upper floor, the sleeping quarters (bedrooms) and the porxet. Without a doubt, an essential stop on any tour of Santa Eulària des Riu and eastern Ibiza, to be added to other nearby points of great interest, such as the church of Puig de Missa or the Can Planetes River Interpretation Centre.

- Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00 h.
- Sundays from 11.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
· From April to September:
- Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm.
- Sundays from 11.00 am to 1.30 pm.
Mondays and public holidays closed.
