Chapel of Inmaculada Concepción - Forada
Sant Antoni de Portmany
The altar that stands at a crossroads
Situated on the road linking Sant Rafel and Santa Agnés, it was built in 1967 to serve the neighbourhoods of Forada and Buscastell. Designed by the architect Josep Ribes González, it features a single square-shaped nave lit by two rows of stained-glass windows that open up at the level of the altar, and a small bell tower. Despite its modern design, it blends in well with the rural landscape of the area thanks to its simplicity.
A suggestion?: pop along to this crossroads on Saturday morning, when the Forada Market is held, specialising in local produce and handicrafts.
