The municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja , located in the northwest of the island, with an area of approximately 120 km2, and ecologically well preserved, consists of four parishes: Sant Joan de Labritja , Sant Miquel de Balanzat , Sant Vicent de Sa Cala and Sant Llorenç de Balàfia , forming a series of small urban clusters of rural character.
Sant Joan de Labritja first and foremost presents a privileged landscape , which is made up of green hills dotted with an abundance of white farm houses, fertile fields and bays and pristine beaches that lie between rough and steep cliffs , a paradise for divers and lovers of hiking, walking and being in contact with nature .
The main tourist areas of the municipality are Cala de Portinatx , Port de Sant Miquel and Cala de Sant Vicent , which offer all kinds of services for visitors.
