Cycling routes in Ibiza for all levels

The island of Ibiza is not only a paradise for sea lovers, but also for those who enjoy exploring it on two wheels.
From peaceful walks through almond groves to challenges among mountains and cliffs, the island offers cycling routes for all tastes and levels.
Easy cycling routes
For those looking for a relaxing ride surrounded by nature, heritage, and the sea, Ibiza offers accessible and comprehensive bike routes.
One of the most recommended is the Sant Carles BTT Route, a low-difficulty circular route (IBP 27) that starts at the 18th-century church of Sant Carles. Along the way, the countryside, coast, and culture are combined, with stops such as the Fuente de Peralta, the Es Trull de Can Andreu museum, coves like Cala Boix and Canal d’en Martí, and the Torre de Campanitx, with views of Tagomago.
Another ideal option is the linear Port des Torrent route, which offers low physical and technical demands. It starts in Sant Antoni and runs through pine forests, coastal paths, and coves like Cala Bassa, until reaching the cliffs surrounding Torre d’en Rovira. It's perfect for a short, scenic excursion, with sections where caution is required if there's wind or traffic.
Two relaxing routes to enjoy Ibiza to the rhythm of pedaling!
Intermediate level bike routes
For those who already have some experience and are looking for more complete routes, both physically and technically, Ibiza offers intermediate routes that combine coast, mountains, and culture...
One of the most spectacular is the Route of the Calas de Sant Josep, which starts in Sant Antoni and runs along cliffs, towers, and beaches such as Cala Bassa, Platges de Comte, and Cala Codolar; After a coastal stretch full of views of islets and watchtowers, the return journey takes you inland, through forests and challenging climbs, with a short and fun trial before returning to the starting point.
In the municipality of Sant Joan, the Balàfia Route (PR-EI-107) is perfect for intermediate cyclists. With almost 15 km between Sant Miquel and Sant Llorenç, it crosses rural roads surrounded by traditional landscapes. At your destination, you can visit the village of Balàfia, the Can Pere Musson estate, and the Es Amunts Interpretation Center, completing a very complete cultural and natural route.
Another option is the Ibiza to Sant Antoni route, which crosses the island's mountainous interior. With two notable climbs—to the Serra de Sa Murta and Puig Gros—it allows you to enjoy lush landscapes and a stop at Capelleta d'en Serra, with views of the Ses Salines Natural Park. The descent through Benimussa, between farmhouses, concludes this linear route between the two towns.

High-level cycling routes
For experienced cyclists looking for a challenging adventure, Ibiza also offers challenging routes.
The Cala Jondal MTB route, with 38 km and high technical difficulty, is ideal for those who want to explore the southwest of the island along mountain paths, trails, farmland, and colorful Mediterranean landscapes. Although the physical effort is medium, the required technique and the lack of refreshment points require preparation and good equipment. There's no shortage of spectacular views and the opportunity to swim in coves like Porroig or Jondal.
On the other hand, the Ibiza Extrem BTT is only suitable for highly trained cyclists. With 82 km and almost 900 m of accumulated elevation gain, it is known as one of the toughest routes on the island. It starts in Sant Josep and traverses multiple climbs, including sa Talaia, Ibiza's highest peak. Technical sections, devastating climbs, cliff-side paths, and rapid descents make this route a physical and mental test only suitable for the most motivated.
Two routes for the truly brave!
