Cova de Can Marça

Es Savinar S/N Puerto de San Miguel

Description

Can Marçà Cave is a unique place on the island of Ibiza to discover its natural and social history. Shrouded in legends of pirates and smugglers, during the visit you will discover all kinds of speleothems such as stalactites and stalagmites, as well as lakes and a waterfall with a light show. Access to the cave is also part of the visit, as it is accessed via a cliff over the Port de Sant Miquel and offers spectacular views of the island of Sa Ferradura and the watchtower of Es Molar.

The visit consists of an explanation given by the guides in different languages, where they explain both the geological history and the different legends that are known about the place, which was used by local smugglers to hide their goods. This visit, designed for all ages, reveals to the youngest visitors the underground world of the island, from the formation of its cavities to its role in the history of the place. On a walk lasting approximately 30 minutes, visitors have the chance to delve into the other Ibiza, its more natural side.

From the cave's viewpoint you can also enjoy our bar service while contemplating the spectacular sea views. The visit is completed in the souvenir shop where you can buy beautiful souvenirs for the whole family. The Cave of Can Marçà also has a free car park to facilitate access to the facilities. The route to this unique geological point of interest on the island takes you through the green north of the island, in the middle of a nature reserve, and is in itself a perfect experience to complement an unforgettable holiday at any time of the year.
