_ It is the major international contemporary art event of the summer and, in2026, it celebrates its fifth anniversary. CAN Art Fair Ibiza is marking aspecial milestone.
_ The cultural programme surrounding the fair begins to take shape in Maywith the launch of the OFF Programme which, in this edition, will run for afull month from 29 May to 28 June.
_ The 2026 edition will once again feature its regular sections including CANDesign, CAN Local and Public Art, along with new surprises.
_ CAN Art Fair is a curated fair and participation is by invitation.
Around 30 national and international galleries will take part in the fifthedition of Contemporary Art Now in Ibiza. It will be held at FECOEV from 25to 28 June. This event, which has acted as a catalyst bringing together different cultural dynamics on the island, has turned Ibiza into acontemporary art hub each summer. Its presence has given rise to what is now known as Ibiza Art Week.
With a strongly international character, the fair presents a carefully selected programme. Unlike other fairs where galleries apply to participate, entry to CAN is granted by invitation from its curator, Sasha Bogojev. This approach reinforces the fair’s identity and ensures a coherent and recognisableartistic line.
In 2022, after consolidating the fair in Madrid, Sergio Sancho launched CANArt Fair in Ibiza. It was the first international contemporary art fair to take place on the island. Today, it plays a key role in energising the local cultural scene and serves as a meeting point for the international art community at the end of the season. A celebration among paintings, sculptures, and installations.
“CAN Art Fair Ibiza is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the mostcurrent art, while also enjoying the sea, the sun, the gastronomy and thefestive spirit of the island. It brings together the best of many worlds,” says Sergio Sancho, founder and director of the fair.
As in previous editions, the fair is supported by the Consell de Ibiza andTurismo de Ibiza, among other key partners. Ocean Drive Talamanca alsoreturns this year as the fair’s official hotel.
OFF Programme: a full month of art
With the support of Paya Hotel, CAN’s commitment also involves engaging with the artistic scene of the Balearic Islands. This is the foundation of theOFF Programme, which brings together projects by local creators and presents them in emblematic locations across Ibiza such as Sa Punta desMolí, the Ses Coves Blanques lighthouse and Es Polvorí. This year, the programme will begin in May and run until the close of the fair.
“The OFF Programme is our tribute to the Pityusic Islands and, in particular,to their artistic landscape, which is becoming increasingly rich. We want the fair to extend beyond its walls and invite the entire island community to takepart in this celebration of art,” says Sergio Sancho.
CAN Design: a commitment to collectible design
At the core of CAN is a willingness to embrace new phenomena and emerging forms of expression. CAN Design focuses on practices that blur the boundaries between art and other creative disciplines such as design, architecture and craftsmanship.
Following a successful first edition in 2025, CAN Design returns to CAN ArtFair Ibiza with a selection of galleries working with creators and pieces situated at the intersection of multiple disciplines.
Public Art and CAN Local
Each year, art takes over the streets of Ibiza through the temporary intervention of a recognised artist, inviting local audiences to take part in the celebration of CAN Art Fair. The aim is to bring contemporary creation closer to a wider public. Previous editions have featured works by Stefan Strumbel (2025) and Robin Dwin Antonio (2024).
Through the CAN Local programme, the fair collaborates with local museums and galleries that also present a special programme during thesedates. Regular participants include MACE (Museo de Arte Contemporáneod’Eivissa) and Fundación La Nave Salinas.
